Let's talk about Google and it's program called Adsense.Google is a remarcable company! It has being set up by two college students, who simply wanted to create this search engine as their college project, which has then evolved into a fully functioning and used search engine, with a revenue of billions, employing thousands up on thousands of staff. And yet those guys still live a normal live (nothing out of the ordinary, although they can surely afford almost anything now), driving their old(!) cars, while their project is live and kicking, and it has only being few years since Google came about.

Google Adsense consists of Adwords ads that are put on the search engine as well as on their network of ads to monetise them. Effectively, they are money machines for all parties involved. Advertisers – get the benefit of a visit to their site, web master gets paid by Google, and Google takes their share. It has being said that Google splits the profits approximately 50/50 with the web master, although there is no statistics or Google does not reveal the exact figure.

Google has a huge network of site (now a days it's almost all the sites on the internet), i.e. Their customers range from one page “about me” websites to corporation sites. Why place an ad? Well, the logic is it makes money so why not? On average a web master gets around .15 a click although many get a dollar and it can go as high as 10$+ for some. Just look at this site closer and You will see my Google ads. Whenever someone click on them, Google sends me a check. The more clicks I get, the bigger my check. If You are persistent enough with it, You can literally make millions with no exaggeration. (plentyoffish.com, a dating site owned by Marcus, and one-man company, today makes him alomost a million dollars in revenue every 2 months!). In his case it's the dating business that gets him returning customers daily that continuously click on his ads (and he gets paid for clicks v. little, according to his words).

So, can You know how much You will be paid? Absolutely. There is a way Google judges how much a click costs and there are ways web master can know what one can expect to receive for their site. So, basically, it is an easy systematic approach that consists of few peaces of information with the main one being how much advertisers are paying for the keyword – the more they pay, the higher You will get paid.

More and more people now a days make money with Adsense and the internet is growing not by day but by minute, as thousands upon thousands of new pages are created. More and more people start to realise the potential of the net and join the game with their own websites.

So, lets recap what we learnt:

Google has a huge network of sites that display Ads for them.

They have millions of advertisers who pay them money for the ads to be displays.

Google shares profits with web masters – You and me.

There is a way for us to know how much to expect to get paid.
